Record vs. Oilers (2003-04) -- 3-1.

Update -- The Kings’ tag-team goaltender continues. Mathieu Garon was solid in a 2-1 overtime victory over Minnesota on Sunday, but Jason LaBarbera is “it” tonight. LaBarbera gave up two goals in a 3-2 victory over Phoenix on Thursday. “Maybe this gives us a little more motivation,” LaBarbera said. “If I want to keep playing, I know I have to play well [tonight].” Michael Cammalleri, projected to be a top-six forward for the Kings, has sat out the last two games after playing the opener in Dallas. “I want to be in there, obviously,” said Cammalleri, who indicated that he is frustrated with the situation. After the Kings defeated Phoenix, Coach Andy Murray said he hoped Cammalleri saw “what it takes to be in there.” Murray did not start Cammalleri against the Wild on Sunday, choosing to go with a seventh defenseman instead. The Kings’ Jeff Cowan (strained groin) will be unavailable through the week, Murray said.
