Alleged Phony Goods Seized at Swap Meet
Authorities seized $180,000 worth of alleged counterfeit merchandise and a vendor was arrested and another cited during a weekend swap meet raid.
The sweep Saturday at the Golden West College Swap Meet turned up counterfeit movies, music CDs; alleged copies of Oakley sunglasses, Omega watches, Tiffany & Co. necklaces and bracelets; and Louis Vuitton, Coach and Kate Spade purses, said Huntington Beach Police Sgt. Brian Seitz of the economic crimes unit on Wednesday.
Masood Firoozkhoohi, 52, of Huntington Beach was arrested on suspicion of possessing or selling counterfeit goods, then released after posting bail.
Maria Munoz, 23, of Santa Ana was cited for failing to disclose the origin of a recording or audiovisual work, Seitz said.
