1 Killed, 3 Hurt When Car Strikes Bus Bench

One person was killed and three others were injured in Hollywood on Friday when a vehicle involved in an accident struck people sitting on a bus bench, authorities said.
The dead man was identified as Patrick Kenney, 42, of West Hollywood.
The accident occurred at 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Sunset and Crescent Heights boulevards, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells.
Kenney was trapped beneath a pickup that had apparently struck two cars, authorities said.
Two motorists involved in the accident, as well as the second person sitting on the bench, were taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with minor injuries, authorities said.
Their names were not released.
