College football -- An article in Friday’s Sports section about Virginia Tech’s 30-10 victory over Boston College said it was Virginia Tech’s 11th consecutive win. It was the team’s 11th consecutive victory in Thursday night games. The article also said Boston College had gotten as close as 20-14. The team got only as close as 20-10 in the second half.

“I just told the guys that we’re going to be OK,” Vick said of the first time this season that the Hokies had trailed at home. “We drove down the field there a couple of times and couldn’t get it in. All of a sudden, we just started executing.”
