$50,000 for treehouse to be followed by suit

Re “Not in My Neighbor’s Backyard,” Oct. 26

I am amazed at the time, money and concern over a luxurious treehouse in Brentwood. Granted, $50,000 seems a bit steep for this venture, but it’s not my place to tell people how to spend their dollars.

Here’s my prediction: The treehouse will eventually be completed. After careful review of the child’s calendar, a play date will be set. The visiting child will scrape her knee climbing up or down the tree. Said child is an actor and known for her knees. Parents will sue, a large settlement will be reached, treehouse will be ordered to be torn down, along with offensive tree.

Forget it, folks; within three years, this will be a nonissue.
