Forced left or three rights?
In response to the letters about Grady Miller’s “Turn Left and Pray” (Sept. 1): As someone who was rear-ended by a guy in a white van who was going to get through that light whether I did or not, and having had my car’s front end nearly clipped numerous times by manic left-turning drivers from the cross street, my advice about left-hand turns is this: Two wrongs don’t make a right -- but three rights do make a (stress-free) left.

I lived in Irvine for about eight months before moving to L.A. recently. Irvine’s signal system might appear safer, but in reality people are going to go bonkers and start running those marathon reds. I mean, talk about wasting time!
