The covered bodies of a man and a woman lie near where a Metrolink train hit and killed them Thursday afternoon in Newhall. The unidentified victims, both believed to be 19 to 21 years old, were hit by a southbound train as they crossed the tracks at 15th Street about 3:30 p.m. Metrolink service in both directions was suspended for several hours as sheriff’s detectives investigated the deaths.
