Eskandarian’s Two Goals Lead D.C. United

Alecko Eskandarian scored two goals in steady rain to lead D.C. United to a 4-1 victory over the New York Red Bulls on Saturday in a Major League Soccer game at East Rutherford, N.J.
Eskandarian opened the scoring in the fourth minute and made it 2-0 in the 59th for D.C. United (3-0-1).
Facundo Erpen (71st) and Jamil Walker (88th) also scored.
Youri Djorkaeff scored in the 86th minute for the Red Bulls (0-1-3).
Houston 2, Real Salt Lake 1 -- Dwayne De Rosario took a short pass from Brad Davis in the middle and kicked the ball through goalkeeper Scott Garlick’s arms in the 84th minute to give the host Dynamo (2-2) a victory over Salt Lake (0-3-1).
Jeff Cunningham opened the scoring with a 20-yard shot that bounced in off the left post in the 57th minute.
Houston defender Craig Waibel tied it on a header off Brian Mullan’s corner kick in the 60th minute.
