Fontana Man Is Held in Series of Sexual Assaults

Police identified a man Saturday who has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting six women in two days.
Raul Tafoya Lopez, 36, of Fontana, who is being held in lieu of $3-million bail, has been booked on suspicion of multiple counts of attempted rape, kidnapping, making terrorist threats, robbery and possession of dangerous drugs, said Sgt. David Marander.
The incidents began Thursday morning and continued until shortly after 4 p.m. Friday. Marander said information from the victims and others helped lead officers to the suspect.
