Woman Gets 25 Years in Husband’s Death

A San Bernardino woman was sentenced to 25 years in prison in the 2003 murder of her husband, who she said had physically and emotionally abused her, authorities said Wednesday.
Isabel Martinez, 37, was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Riverside. She pleaded guilty in August and confessed to drugging her husband, Raul Perez Betancourth, driving him to Mexico and strangling him there.
