Adam Morrison scored 34 points, but it was his assist on Pierre Marie Altidor-Cespedes’ three-point basket with one second left that lifted No. 5 Gonzaga to a 75-72 victory over San Francisco on Monday in Spokane, Wash., completing the Bulldogs’ second undefeated run through the West Coast Conference in three years.

Morrison scored 17 points over the final 11:43 as Gonzaga (25-3, 14-0) won its 16th straight game, tying No. 7 George Washington for the longest streak in the nation. The Bulldogs won their 38th consecutive home game, easily the longest such streak in the nation and a school record.

Jason Wallace-Carter of San Francisco missed a long jump shot at the buzzer.

The Bulldogs will play host to the WCC tournament for the first time, starting Thursday. They have won 23 consecutive conference games dating to last season.

Jerome Gumbs had 20 points and Armondo Surratt had 19 for San Francisco (11-16, 7-7).

Morrison, the nation’s leading scorer, had his 13th 30-point game of the season.

No. 16 West Virginia 67, No. 8 Pittsburgh 62 -- Kevin Pittsnogle, held scoreless by Pittsburgh two weeks ago, had 26 points in his final home game for the Mountaineers (20-8, 11-4), who never trailed in clinching a first-round bye in the Big East tournament.

They earned a second straight 20-win season for the first time since 1997-98.

Pittsburgh (21-5, 10-5) needs a win at home Friday night against Seton Hall and losses by Marquette and No. 20 Georgetown to earn the final bye.

No. 19 Oklahoma 67, Oklahoma State 66 -- Terrell Everett made two free throws with 0.6 of a second left at home to give the Sooners (20-6, 11-4 Big 12) their fourth one-point victory in as many games.

After Jamaal Brown had given the Cowboys (15-14, 5-10) a one-point lead with two free throws with 4.7 seconds left, Everett dribbled up the left sideline and collided with Byron Eaton, who was called for a foul.

Everett, who played the final 12:43 with four fouls, stepped to the line and made both free throws.
