No. 9 Bears Shoot Past Cyclones, 79-64

Sophia Young had 17 points and 11 rebounds, Angela Tisdale had 17 points, and No. 9 Baylor defeated Iowa State, 79-64, Wednesday night for its first conference road victory of the season.

Baylor, 14-3 overall, 4-3 in the Big 12, made 11 of 23 three-point shots and outrebounded the Cyclones, 50-39. The Bears took the lead midway through the first half and didn’t give it up against one of the league’s top home teams.

Lyndsey Medders had 29 points for Iowa State (12-5, 3-3), which lost at Hilton Coliseum in Ames for only the second time in 24 games.

No. 12 DePaul 48, Louisville 44 -- With the score tied at 11-11, the Blue Demons (18-2, 5-2 Big East) went on a 15-0 run to take the lead for good at Chicago. The Cardinals (13-5, 4-3) lost for the third time in five games.

No. 13 Oklahoma 75, Texas 57 -- Freshman Courtney Paris had 32 points and 16 rebounds for her 12th consecutive double-double to lead the Sooners (16-4, 6-0 Big 12) past the Longhorns (10-7, 4-3) at Austin, Texas. Oklahoma extended its winning streak to four games -- a run that includes a road win over defending national champion Baylor.

No. 18 New Mexico 76, San Diego State 45 -- The Lobos (15-4, 5-1 Mountain West) used an 11-0 run in the first half to break the game open and hand the visiting Aztecs (3-14, 0-7) their seventh consecutive loss.

No. 20 Brigham Young 67, Texas Christian 64 -- Ambrosia Anderson scored 24 points, including six three-point baskets, and had a team-high 10 rebounds to lead the Cougars (16-1, 6-0 Mountain West) past the Horned Frogs (10-7, 4-2) at Fort Worth.
