2 Win County Contracts to Find Family Housing
From Times Staff Reports
Supervisors voted Tuesday to approve two contracts designed to find permanent housing for homeless families in the county’s welfare-to-work program.
The Weingart Center Assn. and Del Richardson & Associates will search for rental homes in return for a fee for each successful placement. The program will use nearly $5 million already allocated to the county’s welfare services. Officials hope to place 1,488 families in permanent homes in the first year.
