Lakers Games Sound Much Different Now

Share

Going through some ancient VHS tapes, I came upon an old one of a Lakers game against the Knicks from the early ‘90s. It opened with the view of a rainy day in New York, the Twin Towers (no, not Sampson and Hakeem!) in the background.

Even a team led by an aging James Worthy, a young Vlade Divac and coached by Randy Pfund was made fun by Chick Hearn. Just one of many, many games over 30 years that I watched while eating dinner.

I have to go: Vlade just had the “mustard come off the hot dog” but then “made the greatest shot in the history of the game.”
