Senators Reach 100 Points

Daniel Alfredsson scored his career-high 38th goal and assisted on another as the Ottawa Senators reached 100 points with a 5-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins Tuesday in Ottawa.

The Senators have won 11 of 13 and are tied with Detroit for the most points in the NHL.

Phoenix 5, Columbus 2 -- Curtis Joseph made 31 saves for his 423rd victory, tying him with Tony Esposito for sixth place on the NHL’s career list as the Coyotes won on the road.

Vancouver 4, Edmonton 1 -- Daniel Sedin scored twice for the visiting Canucks.

Minnesota 3, Calgary 1 -- Marian Gaborik scored twice and Brian Rolston scored a short-handed goal for the host Wild. Gaborik has 32 goals.

San Jose 6, St. Louis 0 -- Steve Bernier scored two goals for the visiting Sharks.

N.Y. Islanders 3, Montreal 1 -- Rick DiPietro made 33 saves for the host Islanders.
