New Aerosmith, Newman dates

Share

Aerosmith and Randy Newman have something to say to their fans: “Ouch.” Word came Wednesday that both veteran acts would be nixing upcoming concert stops because of medical misadventure.

Aerosmith, which just came through town, will be calling off the fifth leg of its “Rockin’ the Joint” North American tour to allow lead singer Steven Tyler time to heal his voice after an upcoming surgery that cannot be further delayed; representatives of Tyler were vague on the exact nature of the planned procedure. Ticket refund information is pending.

Piano man Newman, meanwhile, has a wrist injury that has forced the postponement of his Walt Disney Concert Hall performance, which had been scheduled for April 8. The show is now set for Nov. 19, and previously purchased tickets will be honored.
