Win Puts Soul Into Playoffs

Wes Ours ran for a team-record four touchdowns Saturday night to help the Philadelphia Soul clinch a playoff spot with a 57-41 victory over the host Georgia Force in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Ours had eight carries for 13 yards, and former Avenger quarterback Tony Graziani was 19 for 33 for 205 yards and one touchdown for the Soul (9-7).

Matt Nagy threw four scoring passes for the Force (8-8).

Georgia also clinched a playoff berth when Columbus lost to San Jose.

Philadelphia opens the playoffs Sunday at Austin. Georgia will play at New York.

San Jose 68, Columbus 47 -- Mark Grieb completed 26 of 42 passes for 311 yards and eight touchdowns to help the SaberCats (10-6) to a victory over the Destroyers (8-8) at San Jose.

Grieb finished the regular season with 4,854 yards passing, a league record.

John Kaleo completed 23 of 35 passes for 284 yards and five touchdowns. Two of his passes were intercepted.

Chicago 70, Grand Rapids 47 -- Matt D’Orazio threw six touchdown passes to help the Rush (7-9) secure a playoff spot with a victory over the Rampage (5-11) at Grand Rapids, Mich.

D’Orazio was 18 of 29 for 189 yards, and Bobby Sippio led Chicago in receiving with six catches for 74 yards and two touchdowns.

The Rush will open the playoffs at Nashville.

Nashville 66, Tampa Bay 50 -- Clint Stoerner threw four touchdown passes to lead the playoff-bound Kats (8-8) to a victory over the Storm (7-9) at Nashville.

Stoerner was 19 for 29 for 256 yards. Shane Stafford threw four touchdown passes for the Storm.
