On an afternoon when jockey Corey Nakatani bordered on perfect, fellow riders Richard Migliore and Julien Leparoux made a little history of their own at Hollywood Park on Saturday.

After Nakatani rode five consecutive winners, Migliore, a recent arrival from New York, got his first Inglewood victory aboard Moogie, a 4-1 shot, in the eighth race.

About 30 minutes later, Leparoux, the country’s leading jockey in victories, came through with his first local win. The Frenchman, who turned 23 in July, took the $100,000 Hollywood Prevue by a nose with 2-1 second choice Belgravia.

Looking to join Bill Shoemaker, Laffit Pincay Jr. and Kent Desormeaux as the only riders to win six races in a day at Hollywood Park, Nakatani’s streak ended in the race he probably most would have liked to win.

Notional, the 13-10 favorite on the strength of an impressive debut win Oct. 21 at Santa Anita, had to settle for third in the Prevue, beaten three lengths by runner-up Dilemma.

Aboard his final mount, Nakatani was unplaced with Comedy Is Magic, a ride he picked up from an absent Martin Pedroza.

A $2-million purchase earlier this year by Michael Tabor, John Magnier and Zayat Stables, and trained by Patrick Biancone, Belgravia, a 2-year-old Mr. Greeley colt, remained unbeaten in two starts. He defeated maidens Oct. 18 at Keeneland under Leparoux.

The win in the Grade III was the second in four years for Biancone, who won the Prevue and Hollywood Futurity with Lion Heart in 2003. The time for the seven furlongs was 1:22.42.

“When [Dilemma] came to him, he really dug in and took off again. He has speed, but he seems like he really wants to go on,” Leparoux said of Belgravia.

Belgravia will get a chance to demonstrate whether he wants to run on or not in the $250,000 Hollywood Futurity, a Grade I at 1 1/16 miles Dec. 16.

Accountforthegold, the 4-1 third choice, led throughout in beating 7-5 favorite Carminooch and five others in the $110,100 Stuyvesant Handicap at Aqueduct.

The 4-year-old Successful Appeal colt won by one length under Mike Luzzi and was part of a “Sopranos” exacta.

Accountforthegold is owned by a partnership headed by the father of actress Jamie Lynn Sigler, who plays Meadow Soprano in the series. Carminooch is owned by Three Amigos Stable, a partnership that includes actor Tony Sirico, who portrays Paulie Walnuts.

Making her first start for trainer Bobby Frankel, Precious Kitten, a 5-1 shot, gained the lead in the stretch, then held off the late challenge of J’ray to win the $170,550 Mrs. Revere at Churchill Downs.
