Wichita State tops No. 6 LSU

Karon Bradley scored six points in the last two minutes to give 24th-ranked Wichita State a 57-53 victory over sixth-ranked Louisiana State at Baton Rouge, La., on Saturday.

Bradley, a senior who sat out last season after transferring from Marquette, gave the Shockers (4-0) their first lead of the game at 52-50 with 1:47 left.

The Tigers (2-1) came up empty on their next two possessions when Garrett Temple and Tasmin Mitchell missed three-point shots.

Bradley made two free throws with 23 seconds left to give Wichita State a 54-50 lead.

“I told myself the whole game that if I had an opportunity to make a shot, I’d take it,” said Bradley, who finished with 11 points and was one of five players in double figures for Wichita State. “I did and it went in.”

Glen Davis led LSU with 17 points. Darnell Lazare scored 11 points, but no other LSU player had more than seven.

No. 7 Wisconsin 77, Auburn 63 -- Kammron Taylor scored 16 points, and the Badgers rebounded from their first loss with a victory over the Tigers in the third-place game in the South Padre Island Invitational in Texas.

Alando Tucker had 15 points for Wisconsin (4-1), which lost to Missouri State on Friday. DeWayne Reed led Auburn (4-2) with 17 points.

No. 17 Syracuse 81, Canisius 71 -- Eric Devendorf scored 12 of his 17 points in the second half, rallying the slow-starting Orange at Buffalo, N.Y.

Chuck Harris scored 24 for the Golden Griffins (1-3).

No. 21 Nevada 78, Santa Clara 70 -- Nick Fazekas had 28 points and 15 rebounds for his fifth consecutive double-double, and the Wolf Pack remained unbeaten with a hard-fought victory at Santa Clara, Calif.

Nevada (5-0) extended its regular-season road winning streak to seven games.

Sean Denison scored 23 points for the Broncos (2-2).
