No. 22 Boise State 36, at Utah 3: Jared Zabransky passed for 210 yards and a touchdown and ran for a score to lead the Broncos (5-0) over the Utes (3-2) at Salt Lake City. Boise State backed up early speculation about contending for an at-large Bowl Championship Series berth by handing Utah its worst home loss in 17 years. The Broncos scored 33 straight points, gained 398 yards and shut down Utah, which had only 178 yards of offense.

at Air Force 24, New Mexico 7: Ryan Williams ran for 94 yards and a touchdown and the Falcons (2-1, 2-0) beat the Lobos (2-3, 0-1) in a Mountain West Conference game at Air Force Academy, Colo. Air Force had 262 yards on the ground and limited New Mexico to 52 yards rushing.

Nevada 31, at Nevada Las Vegas 3: Freshman running back Brandon Fragger rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns in 19 carries to lead the Wolf Pack (3-2) over the Rebels (1-3).

Idaho 41, at Utah State 21: Steve Wichman threw for 188 yards and a touchdown and the Vandals (2-3, 1-0) beat the Aggies (0-5, 0-1) in a Western Athletic Conference game at Logan.

at San Jose State 31, San Diego State 10: Adam Tafralis threw for two touchdowns and the Spartans (3-1) ended a seven-game losing streak to Aztecs (0-4).

Colorado State 35, at Fresno State 23: Caleb Hanie passed for 248 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Rams (3-1) over the Bulldogs (1-3).

San Diego 50, at Davidson 21: Josh Johnson threw four touchdown passes to lead the Toreros (4-0, 1-0) over the Wildcats (1-3, 0-1) in a Pioneer League game at Davidson, N.C.

at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo 18, Southern Utah 14: Matt Brennan threw a pair of touchdown passes in the fourth quarter to rally the Mustangs (4-1, 1-0) over the Thunderbirds (3-2, 0-1) in a Great West Conference game.

at Whitworth 17, Azusa Pacific 14: Cameron Collings kicked a 28-yard field goal with 2:57 left to lift the Pirates (4-0) over the Cougars (1-4) at Spokane, Wash.

at Cal Lutheran 55, La Verne 12: Danny Jones threw a career-high five touchdown passes to lead the Kingsmen (3-0, 1-0) over the Leopards (0-3, 0-1) in a SCIAC game.

at Pomona-Pitzer 24, Whittier 17: Allan Donohue scored on a one-yard run early in the fourth quarter and the Sagehens (3-0, 1-0) held on to defeat the Poets (0-3, 0-1).
