Garrett Wolfe rushed for 162 yards and two touchdowns in 29 carries to lead Northern Illinois to a 28-25 victory over Miami of Ohio on Sunday night in a Mid-American Conference game at Oxford, Ohio.

Wolfe, who leads the nation in rushing, all-purpose yardage and scoring, ran in the two-point conversion after Phil Horvath’s three-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Davis with 7:46 left to put the Huskies (4-2, 3-1) ahead.

Mike Kokal threw for 324 yards and a touchdown for the RedHawks (0-6, 0-2). His 80-yard scoring pass to Andre Woods was Miami’s longest touchdown completion since 2001 when Ben Roethlisberger threw 81 yards to Michael Larkin.

Colt Brennan threw four first-half touchdown passes and ran for another score as Hawaii held on to a 41-34 victory over Nevada in a Western Athletic Conference game on Saturday night at Honolulu.

The Warriors (3-2 overall, 1-1 in the WAC), ended Nevada’s three-game winning streak. The Wolfpack is 3-3 and 0-2.

Brennan completed 36 of 47 passes for 419 yards, moving into second place on Hawaii’s all-time passing list.

In only 17 games, Brennan has 6,163 yards passing, surpassing Dan Robinson’s mark of 6,038 yards set from 1997 to 1999. He is still far behind Timmy Chang’s NCAA record of 17,072.
