Second Man Arrested in Drive-by Shooting
Police on Friday arrested a second man suspected in connection with an Aug. 2 drive-by shooting in an alley in the 1300 block of west Baker Street that left one man dead and four others wounded.
Anthony Nicholas Dispensa, 21, was arrested on suspicion of homicide about 6:40 a.m. in the parking lot of the Franklin Motel in the 6900 block of Beach Boulevard in Buena Park, where he was renting a room, authorities said.
Late last month, police also arrested Joshua Anthony Blount, 22, who authorities said was a known gang member, in connection with the death of Israel Maciel, 23.
Dispensa, being held without bail at the Costa Mesa City Jail, is scheduled to be arraigned Monday, authorities said. The shooting is still under investigation.
