2 Fremont High Students Injured in Hit-and-Run

Two Fremont High School students were injured, one of them seriously, when a hit-and-run driver struck them Wednesday as they were crossing the street near the campus.
One girl, 16, suffered a head injury; the other reportedly injured her legs, said Sue Cox of the Los Angeles Unified School District. Marjan Mobasser of the Los Angeles Police Department said the vehicle believed to be involved in the hit-and-run was found abandoned at 83rd Street and Avalon Boulevard.
