Hundreds of officers conduct gang sweep

About 420 officers from 17 federal, state and local law enforcement agencies fanned out across Sacramento County on Wednesday, searching for more than 330 suspected gang members in what officials said was the largest such sweep ever in the region.
By nightfall, they had made more than 50 arrests on suspicion of parole, weapons or drug violations.
