at No. 23 Texas Christian 46, UC Davis 13: Jeff Ballard threw two touchdown passes and ran for another to remain undefeated as the starting quarterback after the Horned Frogs (2-0) defeated the Aggies (1-1) at Fort Worth for their 12th straight victory. Ballard completed 18 of 23 passes for 190 yards in three quarters.

at Brigham Young 49, Tulsa 24: John Beck passed for 240 yards and three touchdowns and Curtis Brown ran for 125 yards to lead the Cougars (1-1) over the Golden Hurricanes (1-1) at Provo, Utah.

at Utah 45, Northern Arizona 7: After a slow start, Utah quarterback Brett Ratliff threw three touchdown passes in the second half as the Utes (1-1) rolled over the Lumberjacks (0-2) at Salt Lake City. Ratliff completed 17 of 27 passes for 299 yards with no interceptions. Utah gained 512 yards on offense.

New Mexico 34, at New Mexico State 28: Backup Chris Nelson threw three touchdown passes, the defense forced five turnovers and the Lobos (1-1) held off a late rally by the Aggies (1-1) to win at Las Cruces.

Cal Poly San Luis Obispo 17, at Weber State 0: The Mustangs (2-0) turned two turnovers into touchdowns to defeat the Wildcats (0-2) at Ogden, Utah. In the first quarter, Ryan Shotwell picked up a Weber State fumble by Marky Filipe at the one-yard line. Seconds later, James Noble ran it in for the score. Mark Restelli intercepted a pass by Ian Pizarro and returned it 42 yards for a touchdown.

at San Diego 41, Dixie State 7: Josh Johnson threw for four touchdowns and the Toreros (2-0) won their 10th game in a row by defeating the Rebels (0-3). San Diego, which set a school record with its 14th straight home win, is ranked No. 1 in the Sports Network I-AA poll. Johnson completed 16 of 23 passes for 257 yards in the first half.

Azusa Pacific 31, at Malone (Ohio) 6: Quarterback Andy Carlson completed 10 of 14 passes for 185 yards and threw two touchdown passes, including a 78-yarder to Nate Nasca, to lead the Cougars (1-1) over the Pioneers (1-1) at Canton, Ohio. Marcus Lampkin led Azusa with 82 rushing yards and had a two-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

at Occidental 49, Lewis & Clark 7: Quarterback Andy Collins completed 16 of 19 passes for 227 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Tigers (1-0) over the visiting Pioneers (0-1). Running back Matt Andersen rushed for 101 yards in 15 carries and scored two touchdowns for Occidental, which built a 35-0 halftime lead.

Whitworth 28, at Redlands 3: Receiver Michael Allen caught five passes for 80 yards, including two for touchdowns, to lead the visiting Pirates (1-0) over the Bulldogs (0-1).

Cal Lutheran 17, at Pacific Lutheran 14: Connor Pierce kicked a 38-yard field goal with 2:15 left to lift the Kingsmen (1-0) over the Lutes (0-1) at Tacoma, Wash.

Puget Sound 28, at La Verne 21: Rory Lee rushed for 114 yards in 17 carries and scored the winning touchdown in the fourth quarter to lead the Loggers (1-0) over the Leopards (0-1).
