GOP Backs 3 Candidates for School Board Seats
The Republican Party of Orange County has endorsed candidates for three contested seats on the Capistrano Unified School District Board of Trustees.
The candidates -- Ellen Addonizio, Anna Bryson and Larry Christensen -- are supported by organizations and individuals who unsuccessfully tried to recall the seven district trustees last year amid allegations of fiscal mismanagement and other improprieties.
Incumbents Shelia J. Henness and John J. Casabianca are seeking reelection in November. Crystal Kochendorfer, an 18-year member of the board, announced in August that she would not run for reelection because of her parents’ health problems and the impending birth of a grandchild.
