Just fun? Not for some

KURT RUSSELL is one of my favorite actors [“Escapism Artist,” April 8].

I can’t begin to express my disappointment that he has chosen to star in “Grindhouse,” a film rated R for “strong graphic bloody violence and gore, terror, pervasive language, some sexuality, nudity, and drug use.”

I continue to be appalled at what passes for entertainment in our country as movies and television sink to ever lower levels of immorality and brutality. Little wonder that there’s an increase in crime and violence in our cities when Hollywood glorifies violence and sex time and again in slow motion and living color. Needless to say, this is yet another movie I won’t be going to see.
