* San Diego 7, at Colorado 3: Clay Hensley pitched through a blister for his first victory this season, and Marcus Giles had four hits for the Padres. Hensley, bothered by a blister on the tip of his right middle finger, gave up two runs in six innings. He began the game with a 12.21 earned-run average but lowered it to 9.45.

* at Chicago 6, St. Louis 0: Jason Marquis shut out his former team on seven hits over seven innings and Michael Barrett hit a three-run homer for the Cubs. Marquis (2-1) won 42 games in three seasons with the Cardinals.

* at New York 7, Atlanta 2: Oliver Perez struck out nine and walked none and Carlos Beltran had four hits for the Mets. The Mets got home runs from backups Ramon Castro and Damion Easley.

* Philadelphia 4, at Cincinnati 1: Cole Hamels had a career-high 15 strikeouts in his first complete game. His previous career best for strikeouts was 12, which he reached twice last season.

* at Florida 9, Washington 3: Hanley Ramirez and Jason Wood homered to help the Marlins end a six-game losing streak. Anibal Sanchez (2-0) pitched five innings, giving up three runs and five hits. He walked three and struck out four. He left the game because of right hamstring cramping before throwing a pitch in the top of the sixth.

* at Milwaukee 6, Houston 4: J.J. Hardy hit two homers and drove in three runs as the Brewers ended the Astros’ five-game winning streak. Francisco Cordero pitched the ninth for his sixth save in as many chances, working out of a jam by getting former Brewer Carlos Lee to ground out with runners on first and second to end it. With the win, Milwaukee jumped over Houston into first place in the National League Central Division.

* at San Francisco 1, Arizona 0: Barry Bonds accounted for the game’s only run with a homer.

* at Dodgers 7, Pittsburgh 3: Russell Martin hit a walk-off grand slam in the 10th inning.
