* at San Diego 5, San Francisco 4: Barry Bonds sat out as the Giants were swept by the Padres. Both starting pitchers left because of injuries -- the Giants’ Noah Lowry after three innings because of tightness in his left forearm and the Padres’ Justin Germano in the sixth after getting hit on the right thumb by Pedro Feliz’s grounder.

* at Florida 6, Houston 5: Scott Olsen (9-9) won for the first time in three starts since his drunk-driving arrest, allowing two of the Astros’ first three hitters to score before settling down and retiring 14 of 15 batters during one stretch. Hanley Ramirez homered for the Marlins and Carlos Lee for the Astros.

* at Atlanta 6, Colorado 5 (10 innings): Rookie Yunel Escobar hit the game-winning single in the 10th inning, a liner that drove in Jeff Francoeur, who had doubled into the left-field corner. The Braves won two of three games in the series. Chipper Jones had three hits, including a homer for the Braves, and Rockies reserve outfielder Ryan Spilborghs homered twice.

* at Washington 6, St. Louis 3: Ryan Zimmerman hit a tiebreaking single in the eighth inning for the Nationals, who are riding a six-game winning streak for the first time in more than a year. Dmitri Young had three hits and drove in three runs for the Nationals and Chad Cordero pitched a perfect ninth for his 23rd save in 30 chances. The Cardinals have lost five in a row.

* Cincinnati at Pittsburgh, postponed, rain: The game will be made up Aug. 28 as part of a doubleheader.

* New York 8, at Chicago 3: Tom Glavine (10-6) became the 23rd pitcher with 300 victories and the fifth left-hander to reach the milestone.

* Philadelphia 8, at Milwaukee 6 (11 innings): Wes Helms hit a two-out, two-run double in the 11th inning and the Phillies capped a comeback from a 6-0 deficit.

* Arizona 3, at Dodgers 0: Brandon Webb (11-8) pitched his fifth career shutout to help the Diamondbacks complete a three-game sweep.
