A second appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” last week gave adult crooner Josh Groban the No. 1 album on the U.S. pop chart for two weeks running. His “Noel” sold 539,000 copies, a 33% sales increase from its previous week.

The big week -- Groban’s first above the 500,000 sales mark -- brings his holiday album’s sales total above 1.5 million copies in its eighth week on the chart.

The Eagles soared to No. 2 on a 70% sales bump to 313,000 copies after the band’s appearance on the Nov. 25 edition of “60 Minutes.” In five weeks in stores, the album has now sold close to 1.8 million copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan, and it’s the only non-holiday set to see an increase in the Top 20.

Taylor Swift’s “Sounds of the Season,” at No. 46 this week, jumped 42 spots from last week. The young country star partnered with Target for the album, and sales are up 53% to give her a total of 39,000 copies.

There are no newcomers in the Top 10 this week, because there were no major releases the week after Thanksgiving. The only arrival in the Top 50 is Southern rapper Pitbull, whose “The Boatlift” sold 22,000 copies and debuts at No. 50. Five albums sold more than 100,000 copies each, but overall sales were down close to 17% from the same week last year.

Next week’s chart will have new albums from rapper Ghostface Killah and the latest from the empire that is “American Idol”: Blake Lewis.
