Linebacker Bart Scott and three other players on the Baltimore Ravens were fined by the NFL on Friday for arguing with game officials and complaining about calls during Monday’s game against the New England Patriots.

Scott, who argued with officials and tossed a penalty flag into the stands, was fined $25,000. Cornerbacks Chris McAlister and Samari Rolle and receiver Derrick Mason each was fined $15,000 for critical remarks made after the game.

Rolle accused head linesman Phil McKinnely of repeatedly calling him “boy.” Mike Pereira, the NFL vice president of officiating, acknowledged that Rolle and McKinnely argued during the game but said their verbal confrontation did not occur in the context that Rolle described.

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu will probably sit out Sunday’s game at New England after not practicing for the second day in a row because of a sprained knee.

Polamalu, who has not played in the Steelers’ last two games, aggravated the injury during practice Wednesday and has not practiced since. He is listed as doubtful, meaning he has a 25% chance of playing.

An MRI exam on Washington Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell’s dislocated kneecap revealed that the injury probably will not require surgery, Coach Joe Gibbs said, adding that Todd Collins will start the Redskins’ next game, Dec. 16 against the New York Giants.

Campbell was hurt when his left leg buckled under the weight of defensive end Mark Anderson during the second quarter of Thursday night’s 24-16 victory over Chicago.

Denver Broncos Coach Mike Shanahan was fined $25,000 by the NFL for his comments about running back Travis Henry’s appeal of a one-year drug suspension.

Shanahan supported Henry’s appeal, saying he was convinced of his innocence after the player passed a polygraph test and a hair sample came back negative for marijuana.

Hope has not played since he was injured Nov. 25 after a helmet-to-helmet collision with teammate Sean Conover during the first quarter of a game at Cincinnati.

The Houston Texans put running back Ahman Green on injured reserve, ending his season. He had sat out the last three games because of a left knee injury that has bothered him for months. . . . New York Jets receiver Jerricho Cotchery was listed as doubtful -- but not out -- for Sunday’s game against Cleveland because of an injured right index finger. . . .
