* at Houston 80, Detroit 77: Despite missing 14 of their first 15 free-throw attempts, the Rockets beat the Pistons behind Tracy McGrady’s 29 points. Yao Ming had 21 points and 13 rebounds. Houston finished six for 22 (27%) on free throws.

* at Toronto 92, Dallas 76: The Raptors won their third straight by beating the Mavericks for the first time in eight games dating to Nov. 6, 2003. The up-and-down Mavericks (14-9) didn’t lose this many games until their 44th outing last season.

* at Boston 90, Sacramento 78: Rookie Glen Davis, starting in place of center Kendrick Perkins (toe), had 16 points, nine rebounds and made all 10 of his free throws to help keep the Celtics perfect (11-0) at home. Paul Pierce scored 26 points.

* at Denver 105, New Orleans 99: Carmelo Anthony had 32 points, including a three-point play with 38.4 seconds left, to rally the Nuggets to their third straight victory. Anthony had 12 of Denver’s final 14 points.

* at Portland 105, Golden State 95: Playing without leading scorer LaMarcus Aldridge (foot) for the second straight game, the Trail Blazers won their fifth in a row with Travis Outlaw finishing with 22 points and eight rebounds.

* at Phoenix 103, Utah 98: Playing half the game with a chipped front tooth, Steve Nash had 29 points and 11 assists as the Suns ended a two-game losing streak and handed the Jazz its fifth straight loss.

* at Indiana 117, Chicago 102: Kareem Rush scored 22 points to lead the Pacers in a wild game that featured five technical fouls and the ejections of Indiana’s Troy Murphy and Chicago’s Tyrus Thomas over a scuffle after Murphy’s hard foul.

* Seattle 117, at New York 110: Former Knick Kurt Thomas scored five clutch points in the final 2:31 to send his old team to its fourth straight loss. Kevin Durant scored 30 points for Seattle, which made 13 of 18 shots in the fourth quarter.

* at Philadelphia 98, Minnesota 94: Samuel Dalembert had 18 points, 11 rebounds and tied a career high with nine blocked shots and Andre Iguodala scored 25 points to help the 76ers win their season-best fourth in a row.

* at Milwaukee 100, Orlando 86: Michael Redd had 27 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists to help the Bucks end a four-game losing streak The loss gave Orlando its first three-game losing streak of the season.

* at Charlotte 108, Clippers 103: The Bobcats won for the second time in 10 games in beating L.A. for the first time.
