* Toronto 104, at Indiana 93: Former UCLA forward Jason Kapono scored 17 of his career-high 29 points in the fourth quarter to help the Raptors win their fourth in a row. The teams traded the lead until Jose Calderon made a three-pointer and Kapono made another 30 seconds later to give the Raptors a 94-90 lead with three minutes to go.

* Sacramento 109, at Philadelphia 99: The Kings became the final NBA team to win a road game. They entered the game with nine consecutive road losses to open a season, matching a team record set in 1987-88 and again in 1993-94. They ended the streak without injured starters Mike Bibby, Kevin Martin and Shareef Abdur-Rahim.

* at Boston 104, Milwaukee 82: The Celtics overcame Ray Allen’s absence to match the franchise record with a 12-0 start at home. Allen sat out to rest a sore ankle. Tony Allen started and held Michael Redd to seven points. The Celtics won their first 12 home games in 1984.

* Seattle 99, at Minnesota 88: The Timberwolves (3-18), who have lost eight of nine, tied the 1991-92 team for the worst 21-game start in franchise history. That team finished 15-67.

* at New Jersey 105, Cleveland 97: Vince Carter matched a season high with 32 points to help the Nets end a four-game losing streak. LeBron James had 29 points, eight assists and six rebounds for the Cavaliers, who have lost seven of eight.

* at Chicago 101, New York 96: The Bulls’ 16-point fourth-quarter lead shrank to three in the final minute. But Kurt Hinrich made four free throws in the final 23 seconds and Ben Gordon made two more to help seal the win.

* at Dallas 89, New Orleans 80: The Mavericks opened the fourth quarter by scoring the first six points to stretch their lead to 10. The Hornets got to within 83-78 before the Mavericks made six consecutive free throws in the final 30 seconds.
