Youth movements

THANKS for Mark Swed’s article on emerging young artists in classical music [“A Twist on Tradition,” Dec. 9]. The accompanying article on the over-30 crowd was also great [“These Prodigies Have Legs,” Dec. 9].

Swed’s writing is the best thing in the paper (hope that’s not damning with faint praise).

I don’t care if these kids ride motorcycles, listen to rock or pose nude -- it’s the music, and that’s what Swed’s writing covers so well.
