* Boston 90, at Toronto 77: Paul Pierce scored 18 points in the Celtics’ ninth straight victory. Boston (20-2) matched its longest winning streak since March 16-31, 1993. Boston’s only other 20-2 start came en route to the 1963-64 NBA title.
* at Detroit 109, Golden State 87: Tayshaun Prince scored 23 points, and the Pistons buried the Warriors with an early 28-5 run. Stephen Jackson (13 points) was the only Warrior to reach double figures. Baron Davis finished with two points.
* Portland 116, at Denver 105: Brandon Roy had 26 points and 11 assists to help the Trail Blazers prevail in Denver for the first time since Feb. 26, 2003, and end the Nuggets’ nine-game home winning streak against them. Portland shot 54.5%.
* at Lakers 113, Clippers 92: Kobe Bryant had 32 points, and Sasha Vujacic scored all of his 14 points in the fourth quarter.
