Two stabbed after game in Playa del Rey

Two people were stabbed Monday night in a fight that broke out after a high school basketball game in the Playa del Rey area, authorities said.

Officials said a teenage boy, who may have attended a basketball game at St. Bernard Catholic High School, was stabbed in the head. They said another male, whose age was not given, was wounded in the back. Both were rushed to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for treatment.

The stabbings were reported to Los Angeles police and fire department paramedics shortly after 9:20 p.m. The incidents occurred in the 7700 block of St. Bernard Street, near the high school. No other details were available.
