Morgan Pressel moved a step closer to becoming the youngest player in LPGA Tour history to win a 54-hole event, shooting a four-under-par 68 on Friday for a share of the second-round lead in the season-opening SBS Open at Kahuku, Hawaii.

The 18-year-old Pressel was tied with her 2002 Junior Solheim Cup captain, Sherri Steinhauer, and Paula Creamer at seven-under 137. Steinhauer and Creamer shot 70s.

Pressel used a strong short game and made her move in the middle holes. She holed a seven-foot putt for birdie on No. 9 and a 25-footer on No. 10, and tapped in on No. 12.

Thanks to the magic of technology, the finish of the 1960 Masters, won by Arnold Palmer with dramatic birdies on the last two holes to edge out Ken Venturi, will be shown in full color before Sunday’s final round of this year’s Masters at Augusta.

The project was directed by Jim Nantz of CBS, who financed the color reproduction of the never-before-seen video of that year’s black-and-white telecast.

The CBS coverage of the Masters that year was filmed directly from TV by the Masters golf committee and put away in a vault until now. Nantz hired Legend Films to colorize it, and showed it to a select group at Bel Air Country Club on Thursday night. That group included Palmer and Venturi.
