Harris helps Dallas extend streak to 12
Devin Harris scored 13 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter, pushing the Dallas Mavericks to a 100-91 victory over the visiting Indiana Pacers on Thursday night to extend the NBA’s longest winning streak to 12 games.
It is the second 12-game winning streak this season for the Mavericks (26-7), who have the NBA’s best record. The first dozen victories in a row came after the defending Western Conference champions started the season 0-4 for the first time in team history.
Dallas led only twice before Harris scored on three straight drives. His first, with nine minutes left, got the Mavericks to within 80-79. Jason Terry passed to him for a fastbreak drive that put the Mavericks ahead to stay. He was fouled on another drive and made both free throws to make it 83-80.
Detroit 92, New Orleans 68 -- The Pistons ended a three-game losing streak as the Hornets were unable to battle back from a 26-point halftime deficit at Oklahoma City without starters Chris Paul (sprained right ankle), Peja Stojakovic (back surgery) and David West (right elbow surgery).

The Seattle SuperSonics waived guard Desmon Farmer days before his contract would have become guaranteed. Farmer, a rookie from USC, played in only eight games, averaging 1.6 points.
