Husband, wife dead in apparent murder-suicide
A husband and wife were found shot to death in an apparent murder-suicide in the unincorporated community of Winchester in southwest Riverside County.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department identified them as Menifee residents Kate Grant, 32, and Kirby Grant, 46.
Deputies discovered the bodies of the two in separate vehicles on opposite sides of Domenigoni Parkway, east of Lean Road.
Investigators said they concluded that Kirby Grant shot his wife, apparently in the head, while she was driving east on Domenigoni. Then, investigators said, Kirby Grant shot himself in the head.
They said the couple were going through a bitter divorce.
