The $1-million CashCall Mile, which will be one of three stakes run Friday night, lost one of its main contenders when Wait A While was scratched because of a slight fever.

With the defection of the 2006 American Oaks winner, the CashCall is left with eight starters, topped by Price Tag, who won the Matriarch at the same distance over the Hollywood Park turf last Nov. 26.

The other stakes on the program are the $100,000 Flawlessly for 3-year-old fillies at one mile on turf and the $150,000 A Gleam Handicap for older fillies and mares at seven furlongs.
