Dancing in the streets of L.A.

It’s Summer in the City once again, as Giant Village takes over downtown Los Angeles for one of the city’s biggest and hottest nighttime dance parties.

The main attraction for this second summer edition of Giant Village is Dutch trance DJ Armin Van Buuren, creator of one of the genre’s key tracks, “Blue Fear.” Van Buuren’s 2007 world tour has taken him from Ibiza, Spain, to Buenos Aires to Ibiza to New York before stopping in L.A., and from here he moves on to San Francisco, Ibiza, Moscow and -- drum roll! -- Ibiza. While he’s spinning for the throngs of beautiful people, he’ll be accompanied by guests, including DJ duo Rank 1 and singers Jennifer Rene and Susana, as well as aerialists and dancers. And there’ll be a giant Ferris wheel once again to offer party-goers a spin of a different kind.

Giant Village, South Flower Street and Wilshire Boulevard (main entrance), Los Angeles. Saturday, 8 p.m.-4 a.m. $48. (323) 464-7373 or www.giantclub.com.
