Sebastien Le Toux scored two goals off assists by Roger Levesque, and Levesque later scored his own goal to lead the Seattle Sounders to a convincing 3-1 win over visiting Chivas USA in the third round of the U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday at Qwest Field.

The Sounders, who play in the United Soccer Leagues, advance to the quarterfinals to play the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer. Seattle’s victory ensured that at least one non-MLS team will be involved in each quarterfinal.

Chivas took a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute on a goal by French forward Laurent Merlin.

But Merlin’s countryman, Le Toux, teamed with Levesque for the first of his two goals in the 43rd minute, and got the second in the 51st to give Seattle a 2-1 lead. Levesque scored in the 81st minute off a cross by former Galaxy midfielder Josh Gardner.

The Czech Republic will meet the winner of today’s other semifinal between Chile and Argentina in the title match in Toronto on Sunday.
