The Tony award

I would like to compliment Bill Plaschke for so perfectly capturing the character and personality of Tony Venti [June 3].

Having known Tony and his entire family for almost 35 years, he was truly a giver and generous to everyone. Whether it was the use of his condo in Cabo for an auction, help with a down payment to a young couple buying their first home or purchasing new air-conditioning for the church hall, Tony was there.

It was nice to read an article about a good person on the front page of the sports section for a change. Thank you, Bill, for making my day and for all the “210 Tony’s” in the world!
