Man is held in woman’s alleged battering
Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Victorville man accused of choking his girlfriend and leaving her for dead last week in an airport parking lot, officials said Monday.
Murray Dane Clegg, 59, was arrested Saturday at the Santa Paula Airport in Ventura County by Santa Paula police and booked on suspicion of attempted murder and domestic violence, said Karen Hunt, spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Clegg was taken Sunday to the Victor Valley Jail.
Clegg hit his girlfriend Thursday morning, choked her and left her for dead in the parking lot of Southern California Logistics Airport, Hunt said. An airport employee found her, officials said.
