Stotts fired as Bucks’ coach

The Milwaukee Bucks fired coach Terry Stotts on Wednesday after less than two full seasons.

Milwaukee is last in the Central Division at 23-41. Stotts was 63-83 in Milwaukee.

His replacement is assistant Larry Krystkowiak, who agreed to a multiyear deal and will take over tonight against San Antonio.

Meanwhile, the NBA fined Andrew Bogut $25,000 for Monday’s obscene gesture toward fans.

Charlotte Bobcats guard Brevin Knight accused referee Joe DeRosa of bumping him Saturday against Memphis and plans to appeal a $25,000 fine he received for “verbal abuse of a game official and failing to leave the court in a timely manner.”

New Orleans Hornets forward Peja Stojakovic practiced with contact for the first time since undergoing back surgery Dec. 17. No timetable was given for his return.

Point guard Chris Paul was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his left foot but is not expected to miss any playing time.
