Update -- The Galaxy said Tuesday that U.S. international defender Chris Albright had suffered a “severe” right hamstring strain in Sunday’s 1-1 tie with Chivas USA and likely will have to undergo surgery. Tonight’s game is an international friendly and the Rangers come in having finished second behind Celtic in the Scottish Premier League season that ended Sunday. The 51-time Scottish champions have brought their full-strength squad, including midfielder and Scotland national team veteran Barry Ferguson and forward Kris Boyd, the Scottish league’s leading scorer this season. This is only the second time the Galaxy has played a British club. In 1997, the Galaxy tied Aston Villa of England, 1-1, at the Rose Bowl.
