To witness the growing popularity of cultural artifacts in home decor, look to the 65 exhibitors at this weekend’s Los Angeles Asian and Tribal Arts Show. The 17th annual event will feature sculpture, paintings and textiles from Africa, the Americas and Asia, including antiques such as this 18th century Sino-Tibetan gilt bronze representation of a musk deer ($28,000 from the Belgian dealer Georgia Chrischilles). Contemporary Asian art and an exhibition of Tibetan monastery-inspired tapestries by Jon Eric Riis also will be on display. The show runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $12. Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, 1855 Main St., Santa Monica; (310) 458-8551; www.caskeylees.com.
