* at Orlando 105, Charlotte 92: Dwight Howard had 34 points and 17 rebounds to help the Magic overcome a poor shooting night. Howard made 11 of 14 shots, while his teammates were a combined 27 of 66 from the field.

* at Indiana 111, Dallas 107: Danny Granger scored 25 points and Jamaal Tinsley had 24 for the Pacers, who won for the third time in four games despite playing without All-Star forward Jermaine O’Neal.

* at Detroit 83, Philadelphia 79: Tayshaun Prince scored 15 points and the Pistons held on to improve to 4-0 at home. The Pistons scored the first six points of the second quarter to take the lead for good, but ended the half with a season-low 40 points.

* at Denver 99, Minnesota 93: Carmelo Anthony scored 31 points and Kenyon Martin had a season-high 18 for the Denver Nuggets, who have won seven of their last eight games. The Timberwolves are 0-4 on the road.

* at Portland 87, Sacramento 84: LaMarcus Aldridge had 28 points and 12 rebounds and Steve Blake scored all 13 of his points in the second half for the Trail Blazers, who are 5-1 at the Rose Garden.

* Golden State 123, at Washington 115: Baron Davis had 33 points, 15 assists and 11 rebounds as the Warriors ended the Wizards’ six-game winning streak. Caron Butler had a triple-double for the Wizards, making them the first two NBA opponents with triple-doubles in the same game in more than 4 1/2 years.

* at Miami 98, Houston 91: Shaquille O’Neal and Dwyane Wade played their best games of the season, and the Heat finally won at home in its sixth attempt. The Rockets lost their sixth consecutive game.

* at San Antonio 101, Memphis 88: Tim Duncan scored 28 points for the Spurs, who won their fourth in a row. The Spurs were ahead for all but about four minutes of the game and led by double digits for nearly the last three quarters.

* at Utah 99, New Orleans 71: Carlos Boozer had 19 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Jazz to their sixth consecutive home victory.

* New Jersey 98, at Seattle 93: Richard Jefferson kept up his stellar start to the season, scoring 30 points, and the Nets held off the SuperSonics’ fourth-quarter rally. After losing six straight, the Nets have won their last two.

* at Boston 107, LAKERS 94: Kevin Garnett had 21 points and 11 rebounds and Paul Pierce added 20 points and nine assists to help the win. Kobe Bryant scored 28 points for the Lakers.

* CLIPPERS 113, at Phoenix 94: Shawn Marion had 21 points, 17 rebounds and five steals as the Suns won their eighth in a row. Their 11-2 start matches the franchise record set in 1980-81 and equaled in 2004-05.
