* Central Michigan 58, at Ball State 38: Dan LeFevour passed for 360 yards and five touchdowns -- and ran for 146 yards and another score -- to lead the Chippewas (3-3, 3-0) over the Cardinals (3-3, 2-2) in a Mid-American Conference game at Muncie, Ind.

* at Buffalo 31, Ohio 10: James Starks ran 36 times for a 183 yards and two touchdowns, including a 72-yard score, to lead the Bulls (2-4, 2-1) over the Bobcats (2-4, 0-2) in a MAC game at Amherst, N.Y.

* Miami (Ohio) 20, at Kent State 13: Jake O’Connell caught a go-ahead 11-yard touchdown pass from Daniel Raudabaugh and the defense forced three turnovers as the RedHawks (3-3, 2-0) defeated the Golden Flashes (3-3, 1-2) in a MAC game at Kent, Ohio.

* Akron 39, at Western Michigan 38: Andre Jones and Alphonso Owen combined on an 89-yard kick return on the game’s final play, giving the Zips (3-3, 2-0) a stunning victory over the Broncos (2-4, 1-1) in a MAC game at Kalamazoo.

* at Toledo 35, Liberty 34: Jalen Parmele’s fourth touchdown of the night tied the score with 3:47 left and Alex Steigerwald’s extra point was the difference as the Rockets (2-4) beat the Flames (3-3) at Toledo, Ohio.

* Troy 34, at Florida International 16: Kenny Cattouse ran for 205 yards in 14 carries and one touchdown to lead the Trojans (4-2, 3-0) over the Panthers (0-6, 0-2) in Sun Belt Conference game at Miami.

* at Louisiana Lafayette 38, North Texas 29: Michael Desormeaux rushed for 150 yards and two scores and also threw two touchdown passes to lead the Ragin’ Cajuns (1-5, 1-1) over the Mean Green (0-5, 0-2) in a Sun Belt game.

* at Louisiana Monroe 30, Arkansas State 13: Kinsmon Lancaster passed for 195 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Warhawks (1-4, 1-1) over the Indians (2-3, 0-1) in a Sun Belt game.

* at Army 20, Tulane 17 (OT): The Black Knights (3-3) tied the score on the last play of regulation on a deflected 36-yard touchdown pass caught by Mike Wright, and then won it in overtime when Owen Tolson kicked a 25-yard field goal and the Green Wave (1-4) missed a 34-yard field-goal attempt on their overtime possession at West Point, N.Y.
