* at No. 20 Kansas 58, Baylor 10: Todd Reesing threw two touchdown passes and Jake Sharp rushed for 110 yards and another score at Lawrence, leading the Jayhawks past the Bears (3-4, 0-3) in a game delayed more than two hours by lightning and heavy rain. The victory gave Kansas (6-0, 2-0 Big 12) its first 6-0 record since the 1995 team started 7-0.

* No. 23 Texas 56, at Iowa State 3: Colt McCoy threw four touchdown passes and ran for another at Ames, and the Longhorns (5-2, 1-2) ended their longest conference losing streak in 51 years. The Cyclones (1-6, 0-3) couldn’t pressure McCoy or cover his receivers and suffered their worst loss since a 77-14 pounding by Nebraska in 1997.

* Oklahoma State 45, at Nebraska 14: With Tom Osborne and members of his undefeated 1997 Cornhuskers team watching at Lincoln, Bill Callahan’s current Cornhuskers (4-3, 1-2) took a historic beating. The victory by the Cowboys (4-3, 2-1) was the largest rout of Nebraska at home in 49 years and Oklahoma State’s first win at Memorial Stadium since 1960. The Cowboys had a 17-0 lead before the Cornhuskers picked up a first down. “I really thought coming into this contest we were going to play more competitively, but that wasn’t he case,” Callahan said.

* at Texas Tech 35, Texas A&M; 7: Graham Harrell threw for 425 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another score at Lubbock, and the Red Raiders (5-2, 2-1) held the Aggies (5-2, 2-1) scoreless the final three quarters.

* at Kansas State 47, Colorado 20: James Johnson ran for 159 yards and two scores, Brooks Rossman kicked four field goals and Kansas State (2-1, 2-1) knocked Colorado (4-3, 2-1) out of the Big 12 North lead at Manhattan. Johnson opened Kansas State’s scoring with a five-yard run in the first quarter and closed it with a 63-yard burst late in the fourth. The Buffaloes got a career-high 171 yards rushing and one touchdown from Hugh Charles, but that was overshadowed by four turnovers -- including Cody Hawkins’ three interceptions.
